Waid and Cadham karate demonstration -July 2007

The event was a karate demo which took place on 14th July at the annual Elie fayre day. I borrowed a few members as well as Tony Hogan from his club to make up the numbers a wee bit. We started off with beginner then intermediate basics. We then did basic block and counter followed by heian shodan. Brown and black belts then performed tekki shodan in formation. Black belts did some sparring then Tony and I topped it off with a well rehearsed advanced block and counter!! The overall event went very well and we got a good reception from the crowd.We managed to inject a bit of humour into the advanced block and counter routine which was appreciated by the spectators. Not by Tony though, as I wrecked his uniform throwing him about on the grass. Sorry Tony!

I'd just like to thank Tony and his club members for their help on the day. I was very grateful for their support in making the demo a success.
